Hereford Sale 8th October 2011

Romany Herefords will be taking three cattle to the next breed sale at Hereford. The entry will be two bulls and one heifer. All three cattle have been TB tested and screened for IBR, Lepto and BVD. Hereford Sale Results - 16th April 2011

We enjoyed a degree of success at the recent Spring Show and Sale where a Romany bull sired the Champion and two highest price bulls at the sale. Romany 1 Distiller, a Baybridge 1 Atlas son was the sire of the two bulls from the Cants, Arbroath who were awarded this honour. Hereford Sale Results - 16th October 2010

As mentioned else where on this site we took two bulls down to Hereford, Fulcrum and Frisky. It is possibly the best day we have ever had at a sale in recent times. Fulcrum was awarded the Overall Championship after earlier in the day winning the Junior Championship. He was much admired and went on to top the sale at £8400. Lightning Does Strike Twice! At the Great Yorkshire Show, against stiff competition Captain again was awarded Breed Champion and Interbreed Champion. Cosmonaut finally takes off!

We are pleased to finally inform you that Romany 1 Cosmonaut A51 C40 has set off for Poland. This bull was bought last summer by Simon Gill of Agro Irlandia, Poland. However owing to FMD and BTV export bans he has only left today! The plan is that semen from this bull will be drawn and gifted to farmers who rent dairy cows from Agro Irlandia, these calves will hopefully provide a better quality ... [more]

They're here and they're clear! New Stock Bulls

We have bought two new stock bulls to try to replace Figurehead as he comes to the end of his working life, and to follow on from Romany 1 Asteroid, Romany 1 Atlas and Baybridge 1 Atlas. Both bulls were bought in Denmark from Jens Michael Jensen (judge at National Poll Show 2005) last October. Carlisle Show and Sale 29th February - Results - Good and Bad!

We had a good and bad sale. We were very pleased when Romany 1 Dan R22 D8 was awarded Champion (out of 20 bulls forward), but not so pleased when he failed to meet his reserve, so we still have him available. Romany 1 Diamond R22 D22 was second in the class behind Dan and we were pleased when he made the days top price of £3150. He sold to John Brown of the Hilton Partership Herd based in Fife. He ...
