Top Scottish Herd of the Year, News & Sales, Romany Hereford News/Sales

We are very pleased to announce that the Romany Herd has been judged to be the Top Hereford Herd in Scotland. This biannual competion was judged this year by Clive McWilliam of Churchlands Herefords.

In summing up he felt the Romany Herd was more capable of producing bulls and females to suit any customers needs and backing this up with the use of Performance data.

We were also judged to have the Best Heifer calf in Scotland in Romany 1 Ishbel R22 E5, a Figurehead daughter out of Romany 1 Ishbel 41H A22 ( Storm daughter ), a cow from our donor programme boasting top EBVs and an impressive show career history.

In addition to this we were also given the award for Best Cow Suckling a Calf. Romany 1 Dawn 41H W21 won this with her bull calf, Romany 1 Enrich R22 E50, a March born Figurehead son. This Storm daughter was the UK Poll Female of the Year in 2005 and looks like she will be a successful breeding cow for us in the future.
