Carlisle Show and Sale 29th February - Results - Good and Bad!

We had a good and bad sale. We were very pleased when Romany 1 Dan R22 D8 was awarded Champion (out of 20 bulls forward), but not so pleased when he failed to meet his reserve, so we still have him available. Romany 1 Diamond R22 D22 was second in the class behind Dan and we were pleased when he made the days top price of £3150. He sold to John Brown of the Hilton Partership Herd based in Fife. He was selected for his overall correctness and his very good performance figures. Romany 1 Deputy was third in the class behind the other two bulls and also failed to make his reserve.

We ended up only taking one heifer, Mink R22 C63. She was third in her class and the days equal top priced female at £2415 selling to Mr JB Torrance, Knowetop Herefords.

So we were pleased with the day but obviously not that we had to bring two bulls home. We still have the two bulls available for sale.

All the cattle are by 2007 - 2008 Hereford Sire of the Year Crickley 1 Figurehead. Full pedigree, performance figures and a photo can be found by clicking on the name of the animal. The three Romany bulls were the top performance recorded animals at the sale.
