Free Town LongfellowEnglish Royal Champion and Bull of the Year 1996. Bought privately after the 1996 Show season we have 20 daughters in the herd and are extremely impressed with their outstanding milking ability and how they look after their calves and themselves. Longfellow is the maternal grandson of Bowmont Ambition who was the first Scottish bull to win the coveted Supreme Championship at the January Sale in Hereford. Ambition, from our Plum family, sold to the world famous Freetown Herd of Messrs. Bradstock. Ambition was never shown but is the base of the Freetown cow herd and is also maternal grandsire to another Royal Supreme Champion and Bull of the Year, Freetown Maximus, and also a Royal Supreme Female Champion. |

Glenlees StormBought privately on a trip to Western Canada in Autumn 1998 at Agribition in Calgary. He was a great calf and also a total outcross to any other bulls in the UK and had superb conformation. After inspection of his dam he was bought. He arrived at Cowbog as a yearling in spring 1999. He was used lightly in his first year but went on to be the senior sire in the herd up until July 2003. He is one of the top performing poll bulls in the UK with an EBV of +32. He has worked especially well with the Longfellow daughters and has left his stamp on our cattle by passing on his length and fantastic temperament. Storm's show career is very impressive: Champion Royal Highland 2002, Male Champion Scottish National Show 2002, Royal Show Champion 2003. Reserve Poll Bull of the Year 2002. His progeny are the real success story for us in recent years, making him Reserve Sire of the Year in 2003 and Overall Sire of the Year in 2004 and 2005. |

Crickley 1 FigureheadBought in 2002 to compliment the Longfellow and Storm daughters we feel he is doing a very good job. The first of his daughters calved in Spring 2006. Seen on a herd visit to Crickley in 2001 he was very impressive, as were his calves. We liked this bull’s shape and colour. His pedigree and figures are also impressive so we bought him. We do not regret the decision and are very pleased with his calves, so far having sold five sons as stock bulls into pedigree herds, and Romany 1 Captain, who is probably the best bull that we have ever bred, whose semen is eligible for Europe and other countries round the world. His females are equally impressive with the highlights so far being Romany 1 Dawn R22 B1, Supreme Champion at the Premier Sale in Hereford in October 2006 and selling for £3460.00p and Romany 1 Julia R22 B36, who won her class and was Reserve Junior Female Champion at the 2006 Royal Highland Show. He continues to impress. Indications from Crickley are that his daughters are very productive and good milkers. |

Romany 1 Asteroid A51An embryo calf born in April 2004. We are impressed with the depth of this bull’s frame and a rump that looks like with maturity it will fill well. He has had no additional feed while he has been working since the start of June. Last summer we gave him what we consider were some good cattle in the hope he can prove his worth with them. All cattle have calved unassisted with low birth weights. There would be no point in trying to make an assessment of his potential with only a few calves by him however we feel what we have looks good, especially Romany 1 Cosmonaut A51 C40. His pedigree was very attractive to us, and after having seen his sire and dam we thought those genetics would be worth trying in the UK. We have three full sisters to Asteroid. |

Baybridge 1 AtlasOur most recent purchase. A son of the world famous Doonbiddie Hustler and champion cow Baybridge 1 Jane R8/30. We bought this bull for his colour and meat content. We feel he should complement the Storm, Figurehead and Longfellow daughters well. His first calves are vigorous and moderate birth weight, |

Romany 1 Atlas 41H A41The only son of Storm we have used with any real intention of keeping as a stock bull. He is attractive to us as we can use him on Longfellow and Figurehead daughters. He very much resembles his father, an outstanding calf developing into very long and clean bull. We feel he will carry on like Storm and we have high hopes for him. |
